Seniors Have you heard about the petition to get Macy's to fire Donald Trump?
For details go to Yahoo news. Trump has gotten under my skin so bad that I no longer will watch any tv show he is involved in including talk shows where he is being interviewed. Macy's is using him in their Christmas commercials which are supposed to be warm and homey, they also sell many of his products in their retail stores. Since Trump gives me many negative feelings I certainly don't want to see him in Christmas commercials, especially on tv. If you want to sign the petition just go to this website: "SignOn,org"

Trump is America's all-time Biggest Bozo. Nobody else in our entire history even comes close. Not Tail-gunner Joe McCarthy, not Father Coughlin, not Lester Maddox, not Anita Bryant, not Dan Quayle, not Jerry Falwell, not DUH-bya Bush, not Michele Bachmann, not Rick Perry, and not even The Savage Weiner. Nobody.
And if this colossal and stupendous fool now wants to organize a lynch mob against the duly elected President of the United States, then I say more power to the--so far--more than HALF A MILLION Macy's customers who want to politely tell "The Donald" that his hatefulness and stupidity are no longer amusing, and that he should get off the public stage.

what bothers me is that some group binds together to set rules and regulations, but what about the millions of other people who didn't take the time to sign a stupid petition who do like Trump, so what's happening in America is that we're being drug by the nose of a few. That suks.
Granted stores "could" or "might" suffer sales however in a time when people don't have the money to buy (they're buying on credit and with money they know they can't repay), it's not the Trump ad that's causing the problem. Let's put the blame where the blame belongs.
So anyway sure Macy's could stop the ad, and that's not going to hurt Trump. I suspect that those who want him in the background are those that don't enjoy commedy or humor.
So doing a stupid petition is just that, it's stupid. It's not like Trump is in a position of authority in that ad people, it's merely an ad.....why don't you folks get a job and encourage payment of bills instead. make yourself useful.

Hey, I believe there is a petition out there to fire Obama too. He gives me negative feelings, and I certainly don't want to see him on tv.

He is an arrogant, pompous idiot who uses his celebrity to bully people. I'll sign it.
i agree he has a right to his opinion....we all do but when he uses his celebrity to bully, antagonize and threaten it's beyond irresponsible.

I agree with you, Dede. I also refuse to to watch any program he is on. I can't stand the sight of him. And his constant mouthing off is more than I can stand. He seems to think the world is waiting to hear what he has to say. I don't know how his family stands him. And if he is on Macy's commercials, I will be shopping elsewhere. I think I am going to e-mail Macy's and tell them that.

I'll sign it.
I can express my opinion too.
He's a bombastic power monger that tries to impose his opinion on us. He's got lots of money and the media gets involved.
I think he's unwittingly a diplomat for the dem party as he is extreme right. Many people don't align w/ that.

Sign a petition to fire Donald Trump for his opinion? No thanks. Look, there are other more pressing things to sign, such as getting rid of the electoral college and replacing it with the popular vote, lowering taxes and placing a restriction on government spending.

Yes, I have seen some stuff about people wanting Macys to fire him because of his Twitter rant after Obama was elected. Whether you like Trump, or not, like everyone else he has every right to voice his opinions. You don't have to agree with his opinions and you have every right to voice your own opinions via Twitter (or any other forum).
I think it would be sad to start firing pople because of their opinions. Macys is in business to make money. If they think Trump can make them money, I'm sure they will not fire him. I don't know a lot about Trump, but I suspect he is a pretty ruthless business man. However, despite his failings, I have read he gives milions to various charities. Whether or not he does it as a tax break doesn't really matter to me. The charities are gratefu.

I really don't care. I have never cared for Trump and pretty much ignore everything he does. I just wish that with all his money, he would get a decent haircut.
