Yes, I am sure I remain unconvinced that any god(s) exist.
1 - I've thought about it and considered the arguments and claimed evidence for and against (that I've come across).
2 - I don't. I rely on them to truthfully tell me whether they are an atheist or not.
3 - If they claim to be an atheist then I accept that claim until I have reason to think otherwise.
4 - Not automatically, it depends on what kind of person they are.

I don't believe in God, because I can't force myself to accept something that seems implausible to me. Atheists don't demand that there is not God, but simply state that the lack of proof gives reason not to believe in God. You, in your heart believe that when you way up all the evidence for God, that he is still real. I am the opposite. I can't pretend to believe, it would be fraudulent.
The only thing that all atheists share in common, is their lack of belief in God. Nothing more, nothing less. They can't be identified just by looking. You have to ask them what their spiritual/religious views are (would you do this to a complete stranger?). I respect other atheists, as much as I respect human beings full stop. I don't necessarily agree with the things other atheists say. I only identify with their lack of belief in God, That is all.

1- How do you know you don't believe in God?
- I know this because I don't believe in gods, similar to you only believing in one...i just go one god further, based on a lack of evidence.
2- How do I know if someone is an atheist?
- They do not believe in a god, that is all there is to it.
3- How do you recognize another atheist?
- You'd have to ask them their religious beliefs, believe it or not...we are real human beings.
4- Do you respect other atheists?
- I respect anyone who earns or deserves it, regardless of their beliefs.
