Yes, but you may need to get experience before you would be able to get a job in a hospital. The hospital system may have a 2 or 3 for 5 or more hospitals.
The PR team took a 3 medic crew and had us stand outside for awhile because they couldn't get a helicopter to fly around. There are all types of situations like making sure you have a good public image, ad campaigns, events that are open to the public, new buildings/offices/services, and more to keep the hospital running smoothly.

A PR or communications specialist can make an exciting career in healthcare. A PR professional working for a pharmaceutical company or hospital is often given the designation "PR specialist-healthcare."
A PR healthcare specialist will create various promotional plans and outline the actions necessary for accomplishing those plans. PR professionals specializing in healthcare must develop and maintain good working relationships with the media, the relevant ad agency, and the given healthcare company or organization’s staff. A PR healthcare specialist also manages and oversees the proper delivery of services to clients, and educates and updates employees on healthcare programs and other promotional plans. These specialists also support the marketing team to improve the hospital or company’s image.
A PR specialist with a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, biology, marketing, journalism, or mass communications is highly preferred. Oral and written communication skills and good computer literacy are required

yes... you asked this yesterday.
If you would like to expand on your question, you might get more than a yes/no answer.
Or why don't you call your local hospital and see if you can do an informational interview with the Public Relations Officer to find out what they do.
