Well from the time gita disclosed to arjuna till now , there are numerous commentaries and opinions have been made by many great schloars and enlightend souls staring from Adi sankara to modern day gurus ,every one has his own opinions on gita . its very difficult to state which commentator have rightly said its essence . for me i was very much inspired of " Do your duty and dont expect the result " still i cant find the true meaning for that quote . so for me its the essence of gita i think .

But if you take last chapter of gita , lord krishna says abandon everything surrender to me and do your duty without attachment . i think this should be the essence of gita . but im not scholar to confirm that , its just my view .

But whatever it is . its true that each and every chapter and lines of gita are nectar of truths , we cant omit this or that . every sayings of krishna should be framed in our heart . they are nectar of wisdom..

6) People should not be cattle and become one in "God"(Abrahamic methodology), but should do their own specific Karmas, differently . Karma Yoga(Samkhya Philosophy)/ advice's to Arjuna.

7)The Supreme personality chooses, those who find him via curiosity, friends other Bhaktas(devotees), or pure Chance.
