Most lawyers representing women in a divorce case will ask the court for "Attorney Fees", That means they ask the court to order the man to pay YOUR expenses. Your lawyer may ask for a modest fee as a retainer.
From what you say it sounds like the guy will be a deadbeat, so also ask for the Child Support be paid by wage garnishment. That means his employer will take it out of his paycheck, and send it to your local District Attorney"s office, then they will send it to you.

Check with your county social services office. I have represented low-income clients based on their ability to pay. You should be able to gain assistance from your local government and, by your expressed condition, a judge should be able to quickly dispose of your legal commitments and settle your divorce.
