Real time Strategy game suggestions?
I am looking to get back into RTS games but I can't decide where to start.
I have played them before and and had great time playing them. I played all Age of Empires, AoM, Warcraft series, Total War Series and Cossack series.
Right now I am into kind of futuristic kind of RTS games.
My top picks are:
Dawn of War 1 or 2
Starcraft 1 or 2
Red alert 3
Command and Conquer 4
40k soulstrom
I only care with which game I will have fun the most and that it is not too repetative. I like to play skirmishes a lot.
Which one would you choose or do you have any other suggestions?
Oh also I don't really like Sins of a solar Empire or Supreme Commander.
Any answer would be appreciated.
I forgot to add that I played Civilization too. From my top picks what would you choose?

If you like civ I would get xcom enemy unknown. It's not true RTS it's turn based but the action feels very fast.
Anyway, I'd pick starcraft 2 of your top choices. It's top of the line head and shoulders above all others as far as quality and balance. Of your choices starcraft 2 is the clear best.
The one I'd pick that's not on your list is sins of a solar empire rebillion if you like space and skirmishes. Or If you want a really cheap one with fun skirmishes, then supreme commander 2 gold which is like 5 dollars on steam.

Starcraft 2. Amazing game. Great community. what more could you want from a game but what starcraft 2 offers?

in case you will get it working on your computing gadget i will thoroughly advise Age Of Empires 2. the only concern you have is it takes some tweaking to make it run on Vista or living house windows 7.
