I have to get my cat put down?
I called the vet because my cat attacked my friend today and got her really badly. He does this often they told me the best thing to do is to put him down. I don't think I can bring myself to do it.. I can't stop crying right now, because I feel bad for taking away his life.... I will feel like a horrible person..
Brandon.. You are so insensitive.

Perhaps your cat is stressed about something? It may seem a bit silly but my cat get anxious alot and sometimes scratches/bites me. We asked the vet what was wrong and he said that after living in such bad conditions (we adopted him off the street) we should get this stuff thats almost like an air wick (only the cat can smell it) which you plug into the wall and it calms the cat down. If you want to put it down, which I don't think you do, try asking for advice from multiple vets, not just the one. Anyway the air wick stuff for your cat really works sorry I dont know what it is called but your vet should know! If you do end up putting it down remember it will not feel a single thing and it will definitely not make you a bad person, unless you consider the shovel idea, that's just horrible.
Hope this helps!

I am so sorry. But think of it this way: the reason he probably attacks people is probably because he was abused in the past. Think of how miserable his life must have been to remember those memories every day. He wont feel a thing when you go in to do it, and he will be in a much happier place.

Did your friend do anything to your cat prior to the attack!
Have a word with your veterinary practice - they might have someone who could provide you with a reason for the behaviour of the cat.

Aww, I'm so sorry. I had to put down my cats because they were very sick. All I did was cry and cry and cry. My mom told me since they were sick(or in your case, hurt), it owuld be better for them because they wouldn't feel any more pain. Just do whats in your heart. Good Luck.
