How tough is it to replace a heater coil in a 1998 ford Ranger?

I took it in for an oil change, and noticed smoke coming out of the heater vent. I thought I was burning oil, turns out its dripping anti-freeze onto the exhaust pipe and smoldering.

Since there is no such thing as a heater coil, I'd say impossible.

Now, if you want to change the heater CORE, check with a reputable shop. The majority of the dash assembly has to be removed.

It is a heater core, not to hard depending on your skill level
