Google has blocked me because of my imdb history. Why?

I asked this before but got no real answers. Hopefully I do get more answers, because these complaints are becoming very annoying and disturbing. I don't even feel safe using google anymore. Its like I'm being stalked.

Ok so I got this when I googled imdb to see if there are any good movies about to be released. Instead, I see this.

"In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at ChillingEffects.org."

Ok first of all, I'm not even from the US. second, the complaint set against me is for using google to search for the hunger games on imdb and apparantly on other sites I have never visted.

They all lead to the hunger games and how to download the movie. I don't even like the hunger games and I have never used these sites listed or even tried to download this movie. I can't even lay a counter complaint because I'm not in an American state and the site is only accessed on an American ISP.

No matter how I use google, whether to google youtube, imdb or even wikipedia, I am blocked. Basically, I can't use the internet. I can't even play online games without a notification saying I can't connect due to restrictions. Steam is blocked and so is Origin.

What the **** do I do? I can visit sites as long as I use the address bar but I can't visit IMDB. I tried the sites that are alleged to have been sites that I have "used" to download the Hunger games 263 times, but I get a 404 page.

Ok, great. Now all of a sudden, after I have posted this question, the ******* search engine allows me to use the sites again. The complaints are still at the bottom of the search results, but I am allowed to view the sites again which is pretty cool now, but I'm still pretty pissed off that this happened in teh first place.

I mostly use the internet myself and I haven't shared it with anyone else. Very few other friends and family use it once in a few weeks and thats it. I mostly use it for social networking, playing games at times and watching youtube videos.

the option to lay a counter complaint is still not available.

There are now more complaints coming in for imdb searches that I haven't even made yet. All for movies I haven't even heard of yet.

Update:

You do have a beautiful brain derpy. I'll give that a shot and see what comes up.

Update 2:

Thanks martial art buddies.

To add on; I have not downloaded anything illegal. The movies I am being accused of possibly downloading(I haven't been accused of it, but accused of visiting sites that mention the movies) are movies I haven't even heard of or care about. I am now able to visit imdb again and all the other sites like Youtube now. If what Kokoro says is true then I hope everything will be back to normal by midnight tomorrow.

You have not been targeted. Google, of the sites Google links to, has been targeted. Google has a reference to IMBD or to anything related to the movies you are looking for, and the complaint has asked Google to remove the result from the search page. It's generally nothing you did, but rather, something someone else did.

You have to understand that the RIAA and SOPA regularly sue web site owners for putting links on their websites - links to sites that have been targeted. So, for instance, if you put a link to "www.get-free-movies.com" on your site, the RIAA will likely have sued get-free-moves.com and will have received an injunction allowing them to have you remove that link from your page. In Google's case, it's not YOU that's getting the complaint (because it's not your webpage), it's Google that has to remove the link.

Sometimes, though, you can retry the search - using different search engines like Bing and Altavista. But if IMDB was the company targeted by RIAA, then most of the search engines will not likely let you search for it.

On the other hand, I did my own Google search and had no problems getting to IMDB.

That means the injunction was effective in your country only.

    Another explanation:

When you are caught up/downloading materials illegally, your ISP is notified. Your ISP can ban the IP address from doing anything with that particular video/music, etc. IP addresses are not permanent: every time you reboot, you are assigned a new IP address. You may have been a recipient of an IP address that was banned because of someone else.

Solution: get a new IP address (use IPConfig /renew), and if you don't know how, then ask your ISP for help.

Another solution: use HTTPS to search google, bing, altavista, etc, instead of HTTP.

I'm not sure of a way to protect it as the file need sto be openly available to be written to. However, you can purchase 3rd Party Parental Control and monitoring software to track history, keystrokes, emails, IM's, and more. Good Luck. I know the frustration. I discovered accidentally from my husband's temproary internet files and browsing history that he was visiting porn sites regularly while i was at work. This upset me but not as much as the fact that the accidental finding occured when I found a nude picture by accident. Since he was careless and used the kids computer what would have happened if the kids found what I found by accident. They are only 9 & 11. I was HOT!!! Andthat doesn't mean I was hot horny.

If google blocks you it's for a 24 hour period. And it would be usually because you act like a bot, or a virus.

If you are getting errors, like that check for virus. And check to see if a proxy server was added to your computer. Also run a malware program as well. Malware and virus are treated as two different issues

I think what you might have is a virus. Check twice to see if it's actually from Google. You might have a rogue or a ransomware on your computer. Try scanning your computer with your anti-virus (Note: Don't get free anti-virus from the internet like Navashield, it could be another rogue).
