Question about babysitting rates?

I have a unique situation. My new job is on the other end of the city, and I don't drive. To bus there, I have to leave home at 6:30. The out of school care doesn't open until 7. I have contacted the person who runs the out of school care and asked if I can leave my daughter with her at 6:30 and she can take my daughter with her when she goes in. It's basically an extra half hour with a very well behaved 10-year-old who will read the whole time.

How much should I pay her?

Update:

I thought I'd made this clear, but I'll say it again. It will be half an hour a day, five days a week.

Depending how long she would babysit for, I would say between 7-10 an hour for 3-5 hours but anymore id say 5-8 an hour

Since she is very qualified (she watches kids for a living), I'd say probably around $5 a day, like the other person said.

If I was babysitting I ask for 5.50 an hour.

Then half that 3.50 half an hour and add is up by five days. 3.50 * 5 = 17.50 a week.
