Questions on tattoos?

I have been considering on getting a tattoo for awhile now and am wanting to get one soon. I'm still not entirely sure yet, but I want to ask these questions for more information.

1. Do you have to be 18 to get one? I'm already 17 now, but it'd be nice to get it sooner if I'm 150% sure I really want one.

2. Will jobs nowadays still hire people with tattoos? If I were to get it on my forearm or shoulder would they still decline me?

3. Can I make a design I prefer and have meaning to me and have the artist copy it?

4. What is the general price range for one small-medium size tattoo?

Sorry if some questions sound really stupid. I already approved with this with my parents if I decided to get this when I'm 17 (assuming that I can get one at this age). Thanks!

    1. You are aloud to get tattoos when you are younger but you have to be at least 16 with a parents consent.

    2. Some jobs still dont hire people with tattoos sadly but some will hire you if you have tattoos if you agree to keep them covered at all times.

    3. Yes you can just make sure thats what you really want and make sure the artist knows what he is suppose to be tattooing on you.

    4. It varies on the tattoo shop you will have to ask around it also depends on how much detail and coloring there is. Also remember to be happy with your tattoo artist make sure he is a good artist. this will be permanent and you dont want something badly done on your body.

You can get a tattoo at 17 as long as youre parents sign for you.

If the tattoo isnt crazy offensive and not shown, youre fine. Even if it was offensive, they cant see it so you will have no problem.

Yes, the artist can do that. Either copy it exactly as it is, or create their own twist. (I suggest looking at the artists previous work to see if you like their style before doing that)

As for pricing, its different at every shop, but here is a tattoo pricing guide to give you a bit of an idea:
