Why did the Jets sign Tebow if they werent going to use them?
I understand that in the recent game Tebow had broken ribs. But... WHY DID THEY PUT HIM IN UNIFORM? They knew he was injured.
Other than that why did they sign him if they know hes not a good QB?
I think its about time Tebow leaves the Jets. Its just horrible how they are using him right now.
Tebow might not be a good QB but Sanchez is just as horrible.
Atleast Tebow knows how to run and makes plays that actually work unlike Sanchez who runs into his own players @$$

first off the broncos signed him and they traded for him it does appear to be they never thought of him as any more then a backup and a guy that could be used for publicity.
Tebow is under contract for a couple more years hopefully they use him or trade him to someone that will.I don't believe he is a good qb but he is better then some starters out there

They signed him to push Sanchez to get better. Funny how that worked out. They don't even use him in the red zone where he is effective as a goal to go runner. Instead, he plays on the punt teams running gimmick plays that fail half the time.

quite simply just to be a backup quarterback. THey had him just incase Sanchez got hurt.
I dont care what anybody says, tebow is a horrible qb and even sanchez is better than him.

Sell jerseys, sportscenter/PTI/first take/Internet/GQ and other magazines to continue their obsession with him while putting a jets shirt on him with "NY Jets qb Tim tebow" all over the feature in huge print.

I have 2 theories
1. They signed Tim just to make a headline :)
2. Maybe the GM signed Tim but Rex refuses to use him.
By the end of this season, one of them will be gone.

I have two theories,
just like Seahawks, Pete Caroll signed 1 big named Free Agent (Matt Flynn) and drafted a Big name rookie (Russel Wilson). And they always had T-Jack.
Pete Caroll got them all to "compete" and earn their starting position. And it paid off Russel Wilson is looking like the best man for the gym (no one expected im to beat out Flynn)
Theory Two,
They did it because the Giants just one the super bowl and its the only way for the Jets to get any publicity.

They grabbed him as a publicity stunt. They wanted "Tebowmania" to pump up Jets fans. Didn't work out very well now did it?

It was a publicity stunt -- there is no wildcat series of plays and zero in any schemes which would have you believe this way about using TT's athleticism in another way.

To fill up the seats. I don't know if it helps them but that is the only reason I could think of.
