the format for the equation of the line is y = mx + b

where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

    Here your m = -3 and your b = 24

So start by plotting your y-intercept (where the line crosses the y-axis)

This point is (0,24) on the coordinate plane

Next you have your slope which is -3.

This means for every 3 units you move down, you will move across 1 unit (going from left to right)

So one point on the graph could be (1,21)

Finally, draw a line connecting those two points, and you have your line.

If its y < mx + b, make the line a dashed line and shade everything below the line.

If its y > mx + b, make the line a dashed line and shade everything above the line.

If its y </= mx + b, make the line solid and shade everything below.

If its y >/= mx + b, make the line solid and shade everything above.
