Are atheists mostly of light (white) complexion?

The public face of any social justice or civil liberties movement tend to be people who most closely resemble the group with the most sociopolitical power (white, straight, Christian men), because they have the most credibility with that same group. That's why the most prominent voices for feminism tend to be white, the most prominent voices in the LGBT community tend to be white men, and the most prominent figures in the atheist community tend to be white men. That leads to the assumption and stereotype that the majority of these groups look like those spokespeople.

Atheists are more likely to be college-educated and come from economic backgrounds that are not severely disadvantaged; because of numerous socioeconomic and historical factors, these groups are more likely to be white, though atheists can and do come from all demographics.

Probably not. I would think that most whites are some sort of Christian or Jewish. I'm guessing that most atheists would be Asian people from big cities. My parents were, and I'm atheist.

We live in a predominantly white society so many of the figures you see on tv are white. There are many minority atheists, just as there are many minority members of most groups.

No, they just more often come from countries where atheists speak more openly about their views. Many people are officially muslim or buddhistsbut in reality don't care about their religion. For the majority it's nothing more than a tradition which hold them together I guess.

Since white is the majority in America, it may will be so in this nation. Worldwide? I have no idea and never thought about it.
