Will uncirculated silver bullion be worth significantly more than circulated?
For example, will a 1 gram uncirculated bar of .999 silver be worth any more than the same bar circulated? The price of silver is going up but will the quality of the silver matter when the economy goes under?

Coins in top condition have collector premium. Bars and rounds, if they have artistic designs and are part of collector sets, can have much extra value over bullion. For example, a bar or round that is part of a baseball themed set, with Babe Ruth on it, is ALWAYS going to bring a premium to the price of the metal. Same thing with Michael Jordan in basketball and Wayne Gretzky in hockey. These items do not circulate, but neither do bullion bars.
Older bullion ingots, the big 50 and 100 ounce monsters, did get marked and scratched up, simply by all the years of being traded and moved around. That doesn't affect value. As long as they weigh and test, they're good.
A 1 gram bar? It's a joke. A novelty item. It's not a silver investment. You're talking a little over one dollar in silver as of today.
They are sold for big premiums to novices. Those who buy them as silver investments lose money. Those who buy them as collectibles might break even, but only if they are kept in top condition. Since many of these have some sort of design on them, they are more collectibles than anything else, so you would have a hard time finding a collector for a banged-up one. A silver buyer cares only about the silver.

bullion = hunk of metal. Condition of a bar is irrelevant. The brand name is more important.
There are some folks who collect the US Mint bullion coins and care about condition. Since they are both modern and common, I do not think this is likely to be profitable.

Agree with Jerry - silver is silver. Condition means ZIP. Tho you might get some novice collectors to pay a little more.
