What percentage of hunters are female?

Question is self explanatory. It's for a research paper.

Oh and 'not enough' or any form (while true) doesn't count as a percentage.

Update:

EDIT: Also, is there any truth to this statement?

"Further, according to NRA statistics, less than 1% of hunters actually eat what they kill."

Update 2:

EDIT:

@Amy, oh trust me I know that the article is bullsh*t.

Update 3:

EDIT:

@Welcome to America, I plan on using that quote just so I can point out that the wh*re who said it was full of crap. Being an NRA member myself, I sent a message to the NRA asking whether or not this is true. I can just imagine how epic it would be to have that quote and then quote the NRA saying that they didn't do it. It would utterly destroy the article.

Update 4:

@Welcome to America, you misunderstand. I KNOW that that is BS, that quote was not published by the NRA. That is a quote that Anne Muller, president of CASH, said in an article that I am against. She is lying and if I had the NRA confirming it, it would prove that Muller is lying and that her argument is completely invalid meaning a win for hunters.

Well I'm proud to say my wife successfully completed her hunter safety course and she now has her hunting license. She has also eaten venison and wild boar.

I'd sure like to see you actually cite that supposed NRA statistic since I'm a life member and have NEVER seen that claim made.

The article you cite is pure BS. It's so biased that it lacks any credibility. You many know it isn'ty BS but I know for a fact that it is.

I'm a female hunter. Don't know the percentage but I can tell you that statement is utter bull crap. I eat everything I kill otherwise I wouldn't bother hunting, same for everyone I know that hunts (which is pretty much everyone where I am from.) Where did that statement come from? It's likely from an anti-hunting article. Consider the source, I doubt it's credible.
