Should school teachers be reprimanded for telling children Santa does not exist?

We all know that Father Christmas/Kris Kringle or Santa Claus does not exist in reality.

We all can remember as children that we were lead to believe that he did exist.

We were told if we were good little boys and girls then Santa would come down the chimney on Christmas Eve and leave us presents.

When we reached a certain age we realized that it was all a joke to fleece our parents to buy toys and goods for us.

Now it's the adults who have hijacked Christmas and turned it into a festival of waste greed and gluttony.

A teacher in a school in England told the children that Santa did not exist.

This upset the children and they went home and told their parents who have lodged a formal complaint to the school authorities about this teacher simply telling their children the truth.

The teacher is now facing a reprimand!

Correct me if I am wrong but how can someone be punished for telling the truth?

Before I go any further with this I can tell you that I believe in Christ and his teachings about living as a believer in Him.

I don't however believe in Santa Claus.

I can remember as a child in the 60's and a teenager in the 70's how Christmas was a time mostly for children.

Perhaps being Scottish and living in Glasgow during those formative years I was like a lot of people from there then in my beliefs that Hogmonay was more celebrated.

Since then I have seen Christmas being commercialized by rampant capitalism.

The adults seem to use it as an excuse to still be children even though a lot of them might not believe in Christ or God.

So if I was a non believer I can celebrate Christmas or Winterfest and allow my children to believe in a fictional character because it's all meant to be fun however a school authority can punish a teacher for telling the truth.

Is this sensible?

This is the very same question about God?

    Is god true or not?

Should we sue the religions for making us suffer and pray?

The modern mental health professionals tell us that talking to God and hearing the voice of God is schizophrenia ... and Christians fight bitterly that it is not and it is truth?

Isn't that matter just as cruel to the believers as it is to a small child who is still enjoying their childhood?

The truth ... is ... interpretable?

Of course we know about Santa ... but would you have them use the visual imaginings of Christ dragging his cross with him through their living room and bleeding everywhere?

"Oh look! ... there are a few holy droplets of blood where little baby Jesus on his cross ... was!"

And ... "That proves he was here and left the gifts for us" ...?

It is meant to be fun ... Jon-Jon ...?

Like the elves and gnomes and fairy folks ...?

The muse is not real ... but didn't you call me your muse?

Love is not a tangible fact ... yet without love ... we are not so happy are we?

Romance is not a solid truth ... it is a feeling ...?

We need to prove our love for each other for it to be a truth and that is why so many people break up relationships because the argument goes on and on forever.

Why wish upon a star ...?

Why pray when you are talking to yourself?

Are angels true? ... Lets argue about that for a few more thousand years?

It is the nostalgic heartfelt joy and the feelings of mystery and wonder and the magic that we want to keep alive ... isn't it?

The kids will not feel like going out to see the Christmas lights anymore.

The children will not want to listen to the storybooks about magical things because it is all a lie.

Miracles will never be believed in or given a second thought because it is a stupid fantasy.

Everybody will be strict and nasty and unhappy because they know that everything is lies.

Why try to find love when it is not a truth is it? ... it is a choice ...?

Sensible is not fun nor is it silly or magical or wonderful.

    Sensible is boring.

My grandson is only six years old and he knows that father Christmas, or Santa is not true but he still goes along with Nanny as she sings and her eyeballs open wide and she whispers her magic secrets about the elves and he still creeps along with me, holding my hand, because he doesn't want to hurt his grandmothers feelings and break her little old heart so he lets his granny believe in a fantasy.

And he puts up with all of my magical storybook lies because he loves me and he thinks it is funny and fun to go along with me.

Yes ... he calls me silly and he laughs but who wants to take his old grandma away from him and make him be sensible and serious?

    You?

    Why do you love me?

    I'm not sensible am I?

I'm the flipping opposite of sensible and that is why you love me ... isn't it?

It depends upon the age of the children. If a teacher said that to my 4 year old grandaughter I would want that teacher strung up. However if he said it to older children they will have guessed or been told by other children anyway. I think I was about 7 or eight when my friend told me. I went home and asked the question and was told that in fact Santa Claus was a Spirit of Christmas and a sign that we were loved. now that may not satisfy other children but it satisfied me and I was happy to suspend my non belief on Christmas eve for some years after that.

The Santa myth has become a useful tool in keeping very small children from bothering their parents for toys; if it's Santa bringing toys in a sack, the child can only hope he will get what he wants.

For parents who are buying gifts at the dollar store or accepting donations from the church, the child will most certainly not get what he had in mind, and then Santa can be blamed, not the parents.

So yes, a teacher has no business ruining this for the parents, and should say nothing.

Teachers cannot tell children anything these days. The parents are lying to their children when they say that Santa Claus is going to bring them gifts. The holiday is steeped into pagan customs and most everyone knows it. The problem is, most people will celebrate it anyway.

Jesus was not even born on Dec 25th and what does his birth have to do with a Coca-Cola Santa in a red suit. Too many lies about the holiday.

What if the teacher said God didn't exist?

While also true, the teacher would probably still get reprimanded.

In the U.S. teachers aren't really allowed to comment on the existence of Santa, leprechauns, the Easter bunny, or magic unicorns because it might offend someone's superstitious beliefs.

Of course it isn't sensible. It is terrible that in 2012, teachers still have to pander to ridiculous superstitions.

    The answer is no.

But this is the problem with belief in fictional things, especially as with its connections with a religious dates.

All who reprehend lies with truth should be applauded, but Hell, wouldn't be Hell, if one could not lie and be believed. Thus all of mankind is being reprimanded due to all the lies throughout generation to generations of man's history, where lies lead to war, hate, bigotry, racism and all the evils that have created the world we have today based and built on lies.

I myself as a child never looked forward to Christmas, though I always enjoyed whatever little gifts my parents who were not rich could afford, thus a taught hypocrite as a child.

Now that I'm an adult and see the world today for what it is, I thank my heavenly Father above for the truth, he and he alone has taught me, about all truths/lies tied to this world and all who love it.

This past year, through November, we the American People, saw lying at it's best and accepted by the majority who voted in Barrack Hussein Obama for a lying second term.

He lied, thwarted truths of those who opposed him, and made believers out of those who he promised free stuff for their vote. Like he's Santa Claus, thus and some call him 'Messiah.'

Now after many generations tied to Santa has voted, who's to blame them, as mankind has lied to each other from the beginning of time. This world promotes lying, and see's nothing wrong with it.

Well, how can we expect the world to start and become honest when they are lied to from birth about all things in this world. This world is Hell, thus lying is accepted by those who inhabit it. Those who don't lie and teach truths not in line with the majority, are those seen as liars, blasphemers and anarchists, by those who know not the Father and follow him. The true liars follow Christmas tied to the biggest lie of all. Jesus is my brother and not my Savior or God. The 'Father' is real and I praise him over Santa and Jesus, as he's taught me truth that sets me free from the vain rituals and doctrines that will bring this country and all Governments down.

All lies are evil and thus many souls are lost and even more shall keep returning back here to this world, which is Hell. While only few shall escape. Those who are of 144,000, chosen by a God who never interferes with free will, as he teaches and takes on the names of those who seek him with a pure heart and open mind only.

I belong to no sect of religion as I've found truth that frees me up from this world and all it's vain rituals and doctrines tied to the antichrist, and I as others are at war with no one, as the separation of good and evil takes place before the world and the worldly see it not at all, as they who love this world continue being deceived by Satan himself, the creator of this world and all that's on it who's daughters and sons continue forward in defending lies and always will till the Father himself comes to remove all evil from this world as the righteous shall never be removed, as stated in the Bible which many are supposed to understand but don't, as mankind continues clinging to lies that kill the soul and leave the walking dead behind.

By the way, God is real, but it's not the God the Church's teach that teaches them. For my Father is tied to truth which shines over Love, which is fleeting as we can love many things on many levels. Truth is constant and has never changed throughout all eternity.

Truth separates good and evil. Evil hates truth as truth hates evil, but pure truth, which only come from within, makes one sorrow over all evil that cling to lies for truth which makes up this world called earth, which we are to overcome, yet only few will, and the world knows them not, while Satan knows his minions who he rewards with worldly treasures and fame that's not of the Father this world knows not at all.

For the only gifts my Father gives is truth, and immortality in the next life, which few will obtain through this one as they cling to lies that make them feel part of the darkness they see as light as they follow the vain teachings of men who love this world and will never overcome it. God bless to any who understand and are not offended.

Source(s): My source is my 'Father' who teaches those who seek him. Read the Nag Hammadi and The Pistis Sophia and ask for guidance that frees one soul to think of a God who lives outside the box mankind has put him in. My Father's powers cannot be contained in one book or millions of books, as mankind knows him not. When men restrict themselves to one book or one ideology, they have not all they need as they think to find true salvation. Salvation that only comes from the Father who hates all liars, and those who cling to lies as truth.
