No , the embargo has not ended. Americans may visit Cuba under certain circumstances. See site below and read under Entry/Exit Requirements.

Heidi Heidi,where have you been,the embargo still in force and Americans can not go to Cuba,but Americans can go thru a 3rd country.Canada,Mexico,Jamaica,all you have to do is ask the Cuban agent in the airport not to stamp your passport in Cuba
