Society doesn't hand out proper roles to anyone anymore. If you want to exist you have to climb over and dislodge other members of the heard to carve out your niche, and be ready to scramble as things change every so often. Todays society is pure chaos.
In the old days people did not look for work they inherited it along with every other facet of there life prepackaged and ready to go. These days people waste half their lives getting everything put together before they even begin living.

I think the proper role shouldn't really matter what society says.. It's really your preference, I mean not every woman is going to be married and not every woman is going to have a man to take care of her.. some women think that they don't need to go to school because they'll find a man and he'll take care of her.. well what happens when things don't work out later on.. and she has no education.. has barely ever worked.. has kids to feed.. In a family setting I prefer my girl at home taking care of the house and the kids. we both prefer it that way because we like having somebody at the house as much as possible and she's more like my support.. I come home to her and talk about my day. she'll tell me about hers, what kind of neat activities she's getting into, and she makes dinner, love having a nice meal ready after work. but as I said before. It's not really up to society to decide a womans role.

I'm a man, and a self-identified MRA and antifeminist.
I don't believe men and women have specific roles anymore. Women are kind of stuck with the whole childbirth thing, but that's not a role.
I think men and women are oftentimes suited better to particular roles they may choose, but that's largely due to innate biological factors.
But in terms of career goals, personal goals, hobbies, likes, dislikes, stay at home, breadwinner....it doesn't matter. I don't think men or women have a certain placement they should adhere to in society.

They have to do everything, work and stay at home, raise children and take care of a husband, be sexy and youthful at all times, serve in military combat roles, compete with men in professional sports and the Olympics, and do all of the dangerous jobs like coal mining and fishing. All while being 100% financially independent from men. And they cannot receive any tax breaks or other government aid. So they have to be superior to men in every way in order to be considered "equal" to men.

I have asked this question before and got wonderful answers from men who were clearly not complainers MRAs or trolls and they were the ones I wanted to hear from - wanted to understand their way of thinking. I hope you have more luck with this question.

equal to men as far as is practically possible. Not only in terms of rights - but in terms of expectations, accountability and responsibility.
I feel society often gives women a free pass simply for being women. I don't think that's fair.

I'm a feminist myself, and I'm kind of disturbed by the fact that your question implies that "feminists" is opposite of "men."
Women and men should have identical roles in society, insofar as biology permits.
