Was anyone disappointed that nothing much happened on 21st December?

Did anybody feel 'let down' by the apparent (?) failure of the 'ancient Mayan prophecy' of that particular date?

Well Although I'm not a MAYAN believer . I found out many things about the so called Mayan Calendar ending rumours

    1. The Mayan connection "was a misconception from the very beginning," i.e "The Maya calendar did not end on Dec. 21, 2012, and there were no Maya prophecies foretelling the end of the world on that date."

2.Mayans wrote many prophecies but never wrote anything about their calendar which Ends NOT because the world is ending But because what they call The Great Cycle is coming to a close

3.The Mayan calendar does not end.It restarts itself

But many things happened on the 21st.

The sun rose in the East & set in the West, has it has done for a millennia.

Birds sang, people danced, puppies were born, flowers grew, fish swam in shoals, doctors saved lives, tattooists adorned bodies, people made more people, dogs ran in parks around the globe chasing sticks, cats purred, writers wrote & singers sang .............

Lots of stuff happened just no-one really noticed.

And the Mayans weren't so clever, they died out thousands of years ago!

    nope

and by the the way, its pretty normal

it was supposed to be a joke

the Mayan calendar just ended on that day, no one can go on for an infinite amount of time

In a word no. I am still brainwashed enough to believe that He will return like a thief in the night and no one knows when.

Possibly a few people who took out large bank loans to spend and now have to pay them back.

I was not disappointed. I didn't think the world would have ended on that day anyways.

Yes I was, I at least expected God to try something, a tsunami or volcano. I think he isn't what he was in biblical times, I think technology has got god licked, and he is having to resort to half-assed floods and global warming. He looks increasingly powerless, I often wonder if he is still turning up for work.

I wasn't disappointed as I never expected anything, I really was astonished at the number of people who not only believed it but were terrified.
