What do you think of the Illinois anti-wheelie law?
Now I won't be able to pull 90 MPH wheelies on my 883 Sportster.

Wheelies are illegal in most Countries, but jesus that is a draconian law. Wheelies can be dangerous but in the UK and Europe they are dealt with by fines and license penalty points, not prison! Every teenager on a motorcycle at least tries to pop a wheelie now and again, and on supersports bikes it's very easy for inexperienced riders to lift the front wheel by accident.
"The measure calls for an initial fine of $100. However, motorcyclists caught a second time could face up to six months in jail and a maximum fine of $1,500. Bikers nabbed for a third wheelie offense could face up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500."
I'm glad I live in a free Country and not America.

I saw some guys doing some nice wheelies on the freeway last summer. Looked very cool, but they were obviously very young and were on the ragged edge of control at 70mph. One mistake and they were probably taking out some mom taking her kids to chucky cheese. There is a big fat difference between risking your own life which is just fine and signing other people up for your life or death risk, which is a bit sociopathic.

It's Illinois, you can always get out of trouble with a donation to the Democratic Party. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Unnecessary law, there are plenty of laws that cover this action already. Reckless driving comes to mind right off the top.

Wow, what BS. So if you loft your wheel to clear debris in the road or over one of the cities many pot holes you can be fined and/or jailed.
Good luck getting the front end of that sportster up...lol

As a true traffic offencee that is a state right. That practice is dangerous and as been a violation in Georgia for decades.

If IL spent half as much time on fixing their deficit without screwing everyone over as it does on making retarded laws. They wouldn't be in the bind they are now.
