Will Canada Revenue agency send a record or summary of money given to us in the past year?

Just wondering if I need to find and add together all the stubs from our child tax credit/ universal child benefit, or if I'll get a summary letter later?

I don't get the child tax credit so I don't know about that, but I do get a tax slip for UCB.

MJ - not all of the money you received from the Canada Revenue Agency is taxable so not all of it needs to be reported on your 2012 tax return. The Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB) is not taxable but the Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB) is taxable. You will receive a RC-62 Form from the CRA in order to claim the UCCB amount. You can expect to receive this slip in February. ~Cleo Hamel, senior tax analyst, H&R Block Canada
