Any metaphors/euphemisms for being gay?
Alright, I realize this is a pretty strange question, but I'm asking it anyways. Does anyone know a metaphor/euphemism/etc. to describe a gay person? I don't mean "gay" as in "lame" like people tend to use it, I mean it in the homosexual sense.
However, most importantly, I WANT NOTHING OFFENSIVE. Unless it can easily be said and taken as a joke, I don't need it. I'm writing something and I realized I know absolutely no ways to say that someone is gay without saying it straight up.
Please and thank you! Sorry if I or any answers I may receive offend anyone.

There used to be a lot of expressions like "confirmed bachelor", "musical (or interested in the (musical) theatre)", "not the marrying type", "likes his privacy" which were used to indicate that someone was homosexual without actually saying so.
Then you have the kind of expression like "bat for the other team (batting for the other side)", "friend of Dorothy", "friend of Mrs King", "in the life"(although I believe this is predominantly used in the black community), "member of the union" and "Don't ask, don't tell".
There is "175er" which referred to the part of the German penal code that dealt with homosexuality but I would hold that to be a little questionable in use.
You get words like "mollie", "colin" , "mariposa"or "mary" which are more perjorative.
