Someone who knows about money (as in how it's handled in certain situations) please read and answer:)?
Right, A few months back we paid the first half of the money needed for me to go on an oversea school trip which takes place in February, but now I realise I actually can't make it!! Ooops! I plan to go and speak to my teacher in the next few days about pulling out but I'm a little concerned about whether I'll get that money back...will it have been sent off for the travel arrangments? And even if it has what are my chances of getting it back? Thankyou in Advance x

None of us can know that. It depends entirely on your school and its specific policy for that trip. You'll have to ask and hope for the best.

Seeing as the trip is only a month away, I doubt you'll get the money back. The school will have most likely booked eveything by now... I'd ask anyway though.

you need to be getting your money back..your payment isn't some pool fee for to cover everyone, you should only be paying for your transportation and accomodations, no matter what the group rate supposedly is...otherwise, thats a nasty way to introduce kids to the adult world of caveat emptor.
