    Because making dividend rates artificially higher by taxpayer funded pork-centric subsidies is the easiest way for investment obsessed do-nothing leeches in congress to directly embezzle the treasury.

    Corporate welfare supports those who finance congressional campaigns. You don't bite the hand that feeds you! This same benefit is also used widely by the democrats also so it's not a GOP only deal! Anyone who can be bought is allowed to participate, otherwise you are a one term senator or representative!

    Because poor people on welfare do not have lobbyists whereas corporations on welfare do.
