I purchased a Colt R6520 AR-15 in 1993 and have used it for varmint control and target shooting ever since its one of my most favorite semi-auto rifles,I have clips ranging from 5 rounds up to 100 round drum magazines. I have several other semi-auto rifles such a SKS 7.62x39 an AK47, 9mm UZI carbine Model B and a MAC 11

I prefer my M16A1 & M16A2 to all of the above however parts for these are very expensive so they are only used 2-3 times a year at area Rallies for NFA weapons..

The only stricter gun control that I agree with is

    1..Stricter Background checks::

There should be background checks required for ALL firearms(including long guns)...All transfers of firearms or gifts of firearms should be required to go through a FFL dealer and require a background check..

2..Increased penalties for gun owners that do not properly secure their guns from theft or unauthorized use that result in injury or death, Such as fines and/or suspension/revocation of rights to posess firearms.

3..Medical Background Database...No one that is diagnosed with certain mental illnesses should be allowed to posess or purchase firearms,(ie) Autism,Schitzophernia,Paranoid delusions,BiPolar disorder, mentally challenged, anger management problems ect.

I have... with a friend at a shooting range - it was fun. I also owned a Ruger P95 for a while (I used to live in an inner city and was mugged several times). I am, however, no longer armed - as I don't feel I need it anymore.

But, you know - I think the constitution talks not only about the "right to bear arms" - it says that the country needs a "well-regulated militia."

By well-regulated, they mean well trained...

So, I think there should be stricter background checks... and make it not a "one-time-thing" - people should be properly trained, screened and licensed - and they should go out to be re-tested and re-trained to renew their license once a year...

Then, we'll be "well-regulated" - I think that annual screening would be within the bounds of the constitution.

“the government stimulated the manufacture and importation of firearms for the criminals to prepare. it incredibly is meant to foster a feeling of loss of self concept, that may lead the yank people to voluntarily disarm themselves by way of way of passing regulations against firearms. using drugs and hypnosis on psychological victims in a technique talked approximately as Orion, the CIA inculcated the will in those people to open hearth on schoolyards and subsequently inflame the anti-gun lobby. This plan is surely under way, and so a techniques is working thoroughly. the midsection type is begging the government to eliminate the 2nd replace.” — "Behold a mushy Horse" by way of way of Milton William (invoice) Cooper written in 1991. What if i choose weapons because of the reality they have nukes because of the reality a bullet can despite the fact that supply up somebody from pushing a button to hearth a missile or detonate a bomb? What in the event that they gained't use nukes because of the reality they choose the land to offer it to a different united states of america like China to enhance plant life to feed their people? If somebody has the money, is psychologically examined sane and it incredibly is punctiliously regulated/secured, particular i would not care if a private citizen owned a nuclear bomb. you would be able to already purchase something on the black industry, even uranium. If the owner must be depended on then we could stay loose till that nuke is going out of fee, I assure it.

Shot a H&K 7.62. A friend has one and we went to the police range and fired off a few magazines.

Was at the firing range and a guy was there with an AK I bought a box of ammo from the range and fired it off.

Never fired a piddly 5.56mm but I suppose it has considerably less recoil than the 7.62NATO. My ex boss had a few of them but I never fired them although he offered several times.

I have fired a number of different guns but not automatic rifles. Your question is rather nebulous, why AR-15's in particular?

I've never fired an AR-15 but if your finger is fast enough it can fire many shot in a very short period of time.

I don't want to ban AR-15 or semi automatic guns in general.

I want to limit the number of sales per person(to fight against black market) and make the magazines smaller.

I used the military version while in the Army. I did NOT like the damn thing! It has since been redesigned and upgraded - and the newest version really kicks ash. But those types of weapons do NOT belong in civilian hands. Even Generals McChrystal and Powell agree with me. You know better than America's top generals, do ya?
