Can i switch to another birth control while im still on one?
I got the depo vera shot about a month and a half ago and hate it im experiencing non stop spotting and just want to get off of it plus i found out that one of the other medications im taking for migraines topamax neutralize the depo vera and doesn't even prevent against pregnancy something my ob/gyn forgot to mention. My other doctor said the only birth control that the topamax wont neutralize is an iud so i was wondering if i could switch my birth control over to the iud even tho my 3 months isnt up on the depo vera.

Yes you can. My OB started me on the pill while I was still on Depo so that I wouldn't have any unprotected window.
