If Jesus was resurrected, how was his crucifixion a sacrifice?
One could argue it was a sacrifice, as it's an offering of something in exchange for something else. However, in the context in which it was intended, it is not a sacrifice. Jesus may have died for our sins, but he didn't stay dead, so why is it so important?

The whole sacrifice story is really a cover invented by the Romans because they were super-superstitious and thought they'd better cover themselves... just in case

If you look up sacrifice in the dictionary. Forfeiture of something highly valued for the sake of one thought, to have a greater value or claim. Jesus was highly valued in God's eyes for Jesus is God's only begotten son. In ancient times the sacrifice of the a lamb was agreeable to God. The lamb was in good health not sickly or dying state. It was to be the best because it was being sacrifice to God. Jesus was a perfect person with no sin in him at all. Remember God implanted into Mary's womb a seed so the child would be perfect with no inherited sin as comes from an imperfect man and woman. This process was done with God's Holy Spirit. So the child was holy in God's eyes. It was truly a miracle. Remember Adam and Eve were created by God they were not born from a man and a woman. So they too were holy and perfect with no inherited sins. Now you see a perfect man died because of his sin. So for a corresponding ransom to take place another perfect person needed to die in return. The shedding of Jesus' blood was also important because his blood was holy. So the shedding of Jesus' blood was the compensation for the sin of a perfect man Adam. So you say why is it so important if Jesus was raised up from the dead. Well that's the point. Why would Jesus stay dead and never live again. Think about it doesn't that give us hope that we too can live again after we die. God had the power to resurrect Jesus and so he has the power to resurrect us after we die also. Because Jesus died for our sins we now have the hope of living again after our death. John 5:28,29 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. That means those who are in the memorial tombs will get a second chance at life. What a wonderful hope!! Remember the apostles were able to resurrect people with the helper, which was God's active force the ( Holy Spirit ). If Jesus was never resurrected we would not have had such a hope. 1Corinthians 15:20,21 However, now Christ has been raised up from the dead. For since death is through one man so also resurrection of the dead is also through a man. For just as in Adam all are dying so also in Christ all will be made alive. The book ( What Does The Bible Really Teach ) is a wonderful tool to search out scripture and learn the truth and the accurate knowledge of the bible. That's important since there is many false teaching in the world today. Take Care !!!

Our GOD is a righteous JUDGE, if a criminal go to a judge and confess his sorry and that he don't intent to kill the person he killed, would the judge forgive him because he confess it and he is sincerely sorry about what he did? of course not! it is unjust and unrighteous, one more thing is the victim won't let that happen, he will automatically make a complain. The crucifixion of the Son of God is the payment for our sin, it is important because without this, no other offerings could pleased God and could be acceptable in God's eyes,.... it also show the righteousness and being a just judge of God. that is the reason why when we confess our sin wholeheartedly God listen to us and forgive us, because the offering is already brought in his sanctuary.

It was a legal transaction. The great exchange. His life of sinless perfectionism and righteousness is imputed unto you when you are brought to repentance and belief in His one true gospel.
. . . It is often referred to as the propitiation of sin. All of your sins are taken upon Him and His righteousness is credited to you and you are completely exonerated of all sins: past, present, and future. His resurrection is the proof that He has provided the victory of death over life for you.
Repentance toward the Father, and faith in Christ Jesus.
He died for our sins, according to the scriptures.
He was buried.
He rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures.

Jesus defeated death and proved that he was deity.
Jesus death was not a sacrifice? He suffered a humiliating and agonizing death. No one is going to stay dead. We will all spend eternity alive in either heaven or hell. Either in total happiness or in total agony

How can we be saved and resurrected if JESUS would not be resurrected? It is a mystery that I cannot better explain.

You don't have to "stay dead" in order for it to be an efficacious sacrifice.
What if I paid a debt you owed of, say, $100,000. But later I make back that $100,000. Does that mean your debt was never paid?
