I've had a friend since high school. We're both 45. She's a neo-conservative religious right type person and I'm an atheist. I'm working on my degree and minoring in human rights. She believes blacks are lazy and the white man is getting the shaft because he has to work harder to carry the black man. She abhors homosexuality. I'm a live-and-let-live kinda girl. I love her, bottom line. I do, however, believe she is being willfully ignorant of facts and statistics about racial divide in economy between blacks and whites. I can cite studies and have. She says she can, too, but is "too busy." My reasoning says to get out of this relationship while my history with her says I should just take her vitriol as her opinion and not engage her. What would you do?

Why are there black Christians? If Christianity lives by the Bible and the Bible specifically states women cannot talk to a congregation, why are there female preachers? Considering all the misogyny in the Bible, why do women adhere to its teachings? How are there gay Christians?

One could argue it was a sacrifice, as it's an offering of something in exchange for something else. However, in the context in which it was intended, it is not a sacrifice. Jesus may have died for our sins, but he didn't stay dead, so why is it so important?

I know how to do substitution and elimination when y is solved. However, I have slope-intercept formulas and I'm not sure how to do both with them. The equations are

y= 22.291x + 3519.4

y= 96.484x + 2062.4
