If there were a separate category for atheists on this site...?

I probably wouldn't even be in this section if some theists didn't continue to post (loaded) scientifically oriented questions in R&S.

The religious folk choose to ignore the second half of the name of this forum which is spirituality and that doesn't have to have anything at all to do with religion. It is very possible for an Atheist to be spiritual. Also there is no religious ownership of this forum. YA guidelines say all forums are open to anyone. So if you think there is ugly in this forum come on over sometime to the cat forum and read about someone worried about their cat and the cat haters answer with things like stick it in the microwave or bang it with a brick. Ugly is rampant.

Your question suggests that you think this section is for religious and/or spiritual people. It is not. It is a section for discussing religion and or spirituality. Belief is not part of the community guidelines.

Some people are never satisfied. Yes, there are "Christians" who show so little Christlike love that they'll snipe at you wherever you are. The same goes for some atheists, too.

Why?

There is little we need to say to each other as the only connector to us all is that we do not believe in any god. ...and after all, the label 'atheist' is one put on us by theists, we just are not sold all the BS of any god

Well to be honest, what do atheists have to talk about that exclusively relates to atheism, apart from stuff about deities anyway? They have every right to be in this category too.

Let me rephrase that - what connects each atheist to the next? Their non-belief in the existence of deities. So of course the topic of deities and religion is exactly what they are going to talk about, as atheists and non-religious people.
