A 1960 Plymouth Valiant, slant six engine and four on the floor. OK, I'm the practical type. I had one for nine years, put 165,000 miles on it and only ever had to do the basic maintenance the owners manual called for. Changed the oil and filters myself and just used regular gas. I replaced the muffler on average about every 3 years, same with the battery. Can't recall any repairs other than minor tune-ups. Mufflers didn't last very long back then because of the leaded gas.

'63 Corvette split window coupe with the 327 FI engine. It drove and ran really well. Very collectable too.
Any original 289 Cobra. Fast, fun, and again, very desirable as a collectable.
Not from the 60s but a Continental MKII Might be the last hand built US luxury car. They NEVER depreciated from their new price.

I would choose a 1964 and a half Mustang convertible. Red.
To the gentleman who mentioned the Batmobile, we watched a car auction show the other night and they auctioned off what they said was the originally Batmobile. It was sold for $4,100,000!!! It would have gone higher but the two guys fighting over it flipped a coin and the winner got the car.

I'm afraid your choice is 'to young' for me..!
My fav' automotive era is the 1930's. Those wonderful motors with their shiny radiators and headlights like huge dragonflies..! Such as a Duessenburg (the real Doozy) or a 1930's Rolls Royce Tourer. They had a whole range of beautiful cars, used by gangsters, bootleggers, movie stars and the rich and famous. With things you don't see on motor cars these days, such as a running board, standard leather seats, a trunk with a strap-on frame, a tall gearstick and always three pedals, since they were rarely automatic gear shifters. Noisy too, firing up with a throaty roar, except the Rolls, who prided themselves they 'you could hear the clock ticking while driving, it was so quiet..!'

My first choice would be The Batmobile from the 60's TV show. Beyond that a 1967 Pontiac GTO ragtop.

A car from the sixties is NOT "prewar".
Offered a really old car, a 1936 Cord would be my choice.
