I liked watching Devil may cry, but that might be too violent (even I cringed), Soul eater is really funny, but if you like realistic animes' I'm not sure if you would like the animation. Angel beats had a great story line, and Hetalia 's great too! You can laugh and learn about history. All these animes should be available on Netflix, but you can get them all from google.

I'm not sure about realistic looking, but I have a few suggestions.

Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad [Is a band story. It's very, very good]

I would recommend Samurai X. It's good drama but more of a war-interlude story so I'm not sure how the fun part fits in.

I also heard "Nana" was pretty good. But a lot of tears. I might watch that later. It is also a band-ish story, like Beck.

Because you mentioned Rosario Vampire I am going to have to suggest Sekirei. It is a great anime that I'm sure you will love.

Angel Beats: Otonashi awakens only to learn he is dead.
