How can someone fully 'surrender their life' to God?

Surrender begins with trust and ends with obedience:)

God reached out to us first before we even knew Him

and He loves us because He created us to be His own

He doesn't love us because He's hoping to get something from us-

He only wants our love- He is our Heavenly Father:)

when you have kids of your own- you will better understand-

God's love is unconditional

there is nothing you can do to stop Him from loving you!

He's going to love you whether you want Him to or not:)

the strength and degree of our relationship with Him is up to us

we can nurture it or let it fade away-

just like any other relationship

and the more we get to know Him-

the more we trust what He tells us in His word-

the more we see that we can indeed believe in His love for us

and grow to depend on that love and let it change us

we can not surrender to or trust someone we don't know

God knows that

that's why He has gone to great lengths

to give us everything we need to get to know Him-

His word, the example of Jesus, His gift of salvation, His Holy Spirit and

the support and fellowship of our brothers and sisters

no one can have a relationship for you-

Jesus is waiting for you to invite Him into your heart and life

so that you may begin one with Him for yourself:)

I hear you saying that Jesus' sacrifice wasn't enough; somehow you need to earn God's love.

Here's what you are missing: Any condemnation you feel is the adversary trying to keep you down so you won't be able to fight.

God knows every word that will come out of your mouth a year from now. He's a momma bear robbed of her cubs.

To get rooted in Jesus, to completely trust him, you must choose to stop doubting. Doubt is you.... reserving the right to choose to believe or not to believe. You'll actually feel seasick. Not joking.

Choose to believe. Choose to trust. He's the friend that knows your future and knows what's best for you.

Reflect on the scriptures - Jesus - He is the one that gave His life for you. He surrendered all. He gave it all. He came to seek and save that which was lost. He died for our sins. He made the sacrifice.

You don't have to want God to like you. He already does more than you can imagine. What is great is that God freely bestows his gifts on us. All you have to do is ask for them. There is no need to work for merits. Use the gifts you receive to do good works and bring forth God into your life.

the other is his mortal life as a living sacrifice.

but to offer up ones life in consecration, one must learn to deny ones' self, or all things ungodly. and then one can only run as fast as they have the strength to do so.

Firstly, accept that there is no way that you can earn God's favour.

Nor do you need to.
