Sometimes, memories are all we have?

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.

Update:

I think we need to make those memories to carry with us when loved ones are gone. Significant other, brother, sister, mother... not just leaving you, but leaving this world.

Update 2:

(((SkyWalker))) May God bless you too.

Update 3:

This statement doesn't seem like a question but I would say it is true. Most people treasure the memory of their first love especially when that loves ends and breaks our heart in the process. We are experiencing emotional agony for the first time in our lives and it is sometimes too powerful to believe we are going to survive, and we never really get over that first love, no matter how many times we fall in love after wards. The memory will always bring us to self pitying tears for we know its over and it always will be.

It is nice to have memories for those who have gone on but, given a choice I want them here. Selfish on my part to say the least. I find during the holidays my heart is heavy with sadness for my family.

I miss my boys who do not live here in Michigan anymore. I long to tell my grandfather how much wisdom he gave to me. I miss my dog. I wish I do see my dad. But, I know this happens every holiday when I think of family. Yes, I think of the good times and I make plans for my moving to Fla with the hubby. I look forward to meeting new people. But most of all I will be able to spend time with my two year old granddaughter. The most precious gift I have gotten. Memories are great and sad at the same time.

Yes perhaps it feels that way and also the word treasure is a good description for impressions that remain in our minds of those people we love.

  • You hold onto that memory and visit it often. You cannot see them in this system of things but you can see them in the next. God never intended for us to die. This is a result of sin from Adam and Eve. We can hold onto that hope of the resurrection and God's Kingdom.

Acts 24:15 having hope toward God, which they themselves also wait for, [that] there is about to be a rising again of the dead, both of righteous and unrighteous

    and Mt. 6:10

  • Know that the person gone is still alive in your heart your mind & your soul. They are never. Truly gone. Yes they're gone from this world but know that one day that person will be seen again. That special loved one I'm sure is looking down proudly with pride & love. (((BREEZEY)))

If you want to stay with just the memories, that is your choice. it would honor their lives more if you attempted to transmit their good aspects in you behavior.
