Is my hamster ever going to be the same again?

Ok so my hamster climbed out of her aquarium last night and was out all night and day today she came under my door at about twelve am and I put her in a more secure cage now she's running around like crazy and chewing everything and running around and trying to find a way out and scaling her screen lid like monkey bars and she's scaring me I'm afraid she will never be herself again she used to be calm and quiet and now she won't sit still and I'm worried. Please someone let me know the thanks

What size is her cage? They should have a minimum of 360 square inches of floor space.

She needs to come out of her cage and be interacted with daily. I suggest making a hamser play plen (or buying one) for her. This gives her lots of room and time to bond with you.

If you go on chocolatecolors26's YouTube channel, she has a video about making a play pen using cardboard.

Maybe she got some kind of disease which is making her act weird. More likely though, she had a taste of freedom like no other and now she knows what's out there, won't settle for a tiny cage.. Let her out to play with you more often.

I have noted that escapee hamsters are very active in their efforts to achieve freedom again after being re-captured. This behavior ceases after a few hours of futility. Don't worry - your hamster will be the same again soon.
