Yes and no. It occurs on an individual basis and one persons understandings, conclusions and beliefs are not going to work for someone else.
Beliefs are best kept to ones self because they are often misunderstood and seldom interchangeable.
Religion often resorts to fear as a way of policing beliefs. This is useful to enforce a belief system but it has nothing at all to do with God.

Those who invented God have placed Him beyond understanding. The concept of God is not open to scientific enquiry, not even to those who reason He exists. God is not even a hypothesis in the scientific meaning of the word, since there is no evidence for God in the natural world. On the contrary, for the apparent complex design of all living things there is evidence that these were created by natural forces, not by God. Therefore the reason why God was invented has been replaced by evolution by natural selection, and human reason cannot apprehend God.

I think I, if I may, will approach this from from the opposite view - human reason cannot apprehend that in which is meant to be divine. In essence, our sense of divinity has it so that what is divine is beyond, or transcends, human reality. If this is the case, then in effect humans should not be able to apprehend the divine for apprehension is simply an extension of human reality. We use it as a tool to understand what is immediately present within this reality. So in that sense, we cannon apprehend whatever may be out "there".

Our relation to God is binary. He is big and we are small. He bats an eyelash and we have come and gone billions of years ago. And a funny thing about being able to see Him. He is too bright for us to perceive physically. So He just goes about our lives unperceived by us. In fact the only way to even know He was here is by reflecting the reality we are living at the moment. Then we realize that we are in Him like micro insects and bacteria and virus live in us. Most of us are not even a part of Him. Just living in Him or on Him. And for some reason His immune system lets us hang out here as if we were a part of Him. Maybe later He has a way of cleansing us out of Him. Who knows?

I would propose that human motive can apprehend gods seeing that human brains invented them. Each god which ever emerges always does so sharing the values of the culture it emerged amongst and usually commands some change to the fame quo which part of that tradition wants.

We can understand much about God by reading His word the Bible.

Defend your reason for asking someone else to do your homework for you. Ethically, you cannot.
