My dad won't let me stay round my boyfriends till valentines day?

My boyfriend asked me today if I would like to stay round his, he was going to meet me at the cinema which was half an hour away from his house so we could see a movie but dad keeps saying no. Dad said I could stay round my boyfriends on valentines day, because I never was allowed to stay round my boyfriends because of his mum and I know it's a school night but, I don't go school I'm home educated. What do I do I really want to stay his tonight :/

Update:

I've been going out with this guy for a year and my dad knows him pretty well dad says I can stay his but he's not letting me at the mo :/ and by the way I'm 16

    yup that sounds about normal. My dad does the same thing to me, its unfair but sometimes you just have to show them that you are mature and can handle having a boyfriend by being responsible. Invite the guy over to your house to meet your dad so they can bond. Once your parents start to like the guy your seeing things will get easier for you two to be together.

    Please answer my question, thanks in advance;

    Be patient and greatful that you even have a boyfriend for valentines day, maybe your dad is testing you to see if you will be mature and then he will let you stay over more often. You sound pretty young so be understanding about this and show him you are responsible.

    Its only because he gets worried my dads like it to. they say that i don't want you to get hurt. its just dads being dads and they get well over protective when a boy comes along because dads know what they are like.
