What's wrong with my dog?

For the past 2 days, my dog had been lethargic and won't eat. She's been breathing heavily and been reluctant to walk. She's had trouble swallowing and losing her balance. I think she may have been injured by our other dog but I've done my best and can't find an external injury anywhere. She has an appointment tomorrow but I'm scared and trying to come up with any possible explanation. Any help would be appreciated

thats not good at all this is the pre stage of rabies called the predominal stage of rabies that lasts 3 daysThe rabies virus attacks the brain causing acute encephalitis (inflammation), which destroys brain cells and ultimately causes death. The early signs of rabies in animals and man are variable and not specific. They can consist of fever, and a general malaise (discomfort, feeling unwell). In humans, a bad headache is often the first sign of the disease. As rabies progresses, neurological (brain-related) signs begin which can include confusion, aimless motion, agitation, blindness, paralysis, salivation, difficulty swallowing and seizures. Patients usually die within the following two weeks. your dog should go into what is called the furiouse stage of rabies Once the virus has entered the peripheral nerves it is transported via sensory and motor nerve fibers to the brain. The virus also spread from the brain to other highly innervated (highly supplied with nerves) sites including the salivary glands. This is the time the virus is present in the animals saliva and can infect others.

After passing through the prodromal phase dogs and cats pass through a stage characterized by irritability to stimuli of sight and sound.

This stage can last one to seven days. These animals often become restless, aggressive and viscous. I have seen dogs in this phase chew the metal bars of their cage until they injured themselves severely. Dogs and cats in this stage of the disease may roam and wander great distances in an aimless fashion. Eventually these animals become ataxic (wobbly) and may develop seizures and die. i strongley sugest seperating anything living from the dog and take it to a hospital immidiatly or it may injure or kill your other pets as well as you or your family

There are many things that this could be. The sooner you can get her to the vet the better. I always know my dogs are really sick if they don't eat. This could be something simple but needs to be treated right away. It might also be something serious. Your vet will need to run blood tests and do a thorough exam of her in order to have an idea of what you may be looking at. If you absolutely can't get her to the vet til tomorrow, keep her as calm and comfortable as you can. Leave food and water near her so she doesn't have to walk to them but don't try to make her eat or drink. I'd suggest keeping her in a room that you don't have carpets and using puppy pads on the floor for the night. If she's having trouble with balance and not wanting to walk, she may not be able to potty outside as she needs to. Keep offering but again, don't force it. Pet her and talk gently and reassuringly to her. She is likely scared and needs to know that you are calm and are there for her.

Firstly you should check your dogs body for UNUSUAL lumps, these could be ticks, you must be careful when picking them off, using tweezers and picking them off VERY SLOWLY will ensure the ticks head is removed. This needs to be done now if it has a tick, 2 days is a long time for a dog to have a tick and your dog may eventually lose the ability to do anything if its a tick. I did make my answer about ticks as these are common causes. I am no expert but I understand the risk of ticks.

canines balls...the puppy's self esteem? Ha! The rattling issues are plastic and the animal gets no earnings from having them in his scrotum. The vet bought you a invoice of things so he ought to earnings on your lack of information. And if it became into your thought to have them implanted he ought to have tried to dissuade you. canines (particularly puppies) have no inkling of what occurred interior the vet's place of work different than he fell asleep and has some soreness down with the aid of his penis. yet he does experience much less aggressive and now the mutt around the line would not look a lot of a threat to him. pass to him and function the canines dealt with for the inflammation and swelling, in case you nonetheless have confidence him. solid success J

She could be sick, she might even have an allergy to something in your house, she might be in pain of have anxiety about something. Maybe she's scared of your other dogs. You should just take her to the vet. Not trying to scate you but there could be a lot of things wrong. Just hope for the best and seperate her from any other animals :)

If my dog fit that description, she would have been at the vet for two days now.

Your dog is in trouble, and needs an emergency vet NOW.

You are wasting precious time, and if you wait, not only is that animal abuse neglect, but it's probably going to be too late.

Dogs are very prone to inner ear infections this may be the cause of some of the walking issues. Also the infection could have spread to another part of her body like her throat. Some anti-biotics or anti-virals should clear it up.
