Can I powder coat over high temp engine paint?

I am building a motorcycle and would like to powder coat the engine covers to match my wheels. The powder I am using is POLYESTER TGIC. I am not sure how well it can handle the heat though. I am planning on doing this myself to cut down on costs. What would be best way to get this done? Could I paint the covers with a high temp paint, then powder coat over the high temp paint?

Uhm, no.... powder coating is an electrical process which requires supplying electricity to BARE metal and the electrical charge draws the powder to the metal.

How are you going to supply the electrical charge at home? Do you have powder coating equipment?

Powder coating requires that the surface that you are painting be electrically conductive and capable of attracting the powder... aka... bare metal surface... so you will need to sandblast first.
