how often can you treat yourself to cakes and chocolate whilst on a diet?

Basically last time I tried to cut out cakes and chocolate for 5 months, I ended up having a splurge and eating whole packets of cakes and chocolate. This time round I am been more sensible and treating myself now and again to a slice of cake or chocolate to overcome this.

How often a week or a month is it recommended to eat something sweet? I read somewhere that you can eat a cake once a day but under 250 calories but I dont crave sweet food every day, it is only now and again.

What does everyone else think? Before anyone asks, I do exercise x5 days a week and I eat a varied healthy diet without sugars etc.

Please no silly answers otherwise it will be bad score!

    I think it's a good idea to treat yourself every day if you want to. Just track the calories and you'll be fine. Eating a little bit of something that you enjoy everyday is better than depriving yourself and eventually bingeing.

    Every weekend treat your self to some cake/chocolate. I heard somewhere (can't remember) that it's not a good idea to go cold turkey on all the things you used to eat. So start out at every Sunday you eat whatever you want, kinda like rewarding yourself after all weeks worth of working out/eating healthy :)

    once or twice a week because if you leave it completely u will have more temptation so eat once or twice -In a month eat-these things or yeast products 3-4 times but not more then that because your exercising wont show that much of results on ur body

    you ought to not seem at nutrition as a cope with that what provides undesirable information of nutrition. in the adventure that your yearning that nutrition you ought to have a small volume once you crave it so which you do no longer pig out on plenty later.

    I agree with leroy. Eat it whenever you crave it but obviously ensure that your overall calorie intake is where it needs to be.
