How does one get back into the game after a long term relationship?
I broke up with my girlfriend of just under 5 years, a few months ago. The break-up was surprisingly smooth and I wasn't all that hit emotionally. However, I've been finding it hard to get back into the dating game. I have opportunities to do it, but none of the girls I encounter seem to meet my expectations. I seem to want to the comfort and establishment that I had in my long term relationship and I now tend to nip new relationships before they even start. Any advice?

Have you tried Match.com or any of those? Maybe you need to have some alone time to rediscover you? You've been in a relationship so long and you want what you had, but with omeone new. I suggest you just meet and befriend women, don't get serious too fast and take your time. You'll meet someone special. Good luck

I was in a year and 1/2 relationship and it took me over a year to get back into the game... But we had a tough break up with ALOT of emotional hurt and pain.... I just went out there and flirted alot... When i was ready i began looking to settle down but after all the rebound phase and just wanting to have fun bit :)
