Boarding vs not boarding your pet?

Whenever me and my mom go out for the weekends we usually Have the auto feeder/water system for the cats and 2 stainless steel water bowls (one cat knocks over the water system) we also leave toys out and sometimes music. They also play together alot and if we are gone for more then 3 days we get a sitter.

I would never board my pets. Too stressful and much too expensive (we have 8 cats). I prefer to have a sitter come in once a day to feed, change boxes, and play with them.

I believe that if you are gone for more than two days, the best ways to see that the cats or okay is to board them with the vet. No worries when this is done.
