I wouldnt call it abuse cuz my cat is never injured but it still saddens me. My moms boyfriend is 30 with the mentality of a 5 year old. Sometimes (on a daily basis rather) he will randomly mess with her by grabbing her and shaking her while staring at her (a threatening posture to a cat) then he gets mad if she hisses and scratches him. Sometimes she gets so upset she pisses and poops on herself or out of the box (she has never done that) he does try to make nice with her by offering her food and pettings but she hisses and swats at him (thinking he is going to attack her) and the process repeats itself.

I tell him "and you wonder why she does these things to you" and he says "i dont wonder i know i just like doing it" or i say "just ignore her when she is like that" (he hates it when my mom is all over him so i use that as an example) im tired of saying these things all day everyday especially to someone who is 30 and owns dogs. He believes you need to put the "fear" into animals

Everytime I pet my 2 cats the dog gets up and chases them away. I do correct her when she does this and I don't pet her when she acts like this. She is a toy poodle mix and is usually very sweet to the 2 cats but for some reason chases them away if I pet them or if they come to me wanting attention. She doesn't bite or growl at them or even bark at them. The cats usually will assert themselves by swatting her with a fist full of claws which doesn't always work.

If the cat is eating wet food my dog will sit behind her and beg for food (she is not allowed to have cat food and I pick up the bowl after the cat is done)

My dog (toy poodle mix) has weird eating habits. She will pretend to be interested in the dog food while I prep it but will only sniff it and walk away when I put it down. She is eating purina one beyond which is sometimes mixed with beneful. She will sometimes go back to her food but other times she walks away and won't eat at all that day (she gets fed 2 times a day ) she is walked frequently since I live in an apartment. Some days she will just down right refuse to eat and other days acts like I don't feed her enough. I have tried adding things to the food to make it smell and taste better (iams savory sauce) but that didn't work either. I usually leave her food down for 30 minutes then I don't feed her anything until dinner time but that sometimes won't work. She also snubs certain treats too. She doesn't like her wet food mixed with kibble and will sometimes refuse wet food. I put the cats food on the counter so she can't eat that. Is this normal for a dog and if not what should I do? I never had a dog who was difficult to feed. She now gets fed plain kibble with nothing added and same with her wet food.

For example today we are supposed to go to a funeral and she bitches to me about a cellphone that I did not even lose. I lose EVERYTHING and this usually is what starts our fighting is me losing stuff,not paying attention, being human, her having a cigarette fit, ect. I don't care what her problem is because it seems like she never cares what my problems are so why should I care about hers? She won't change and neither am I. She says I'm not responsible yet I do all my chores, I get to school and appointments on time and I do my home and school work so how is that being irresponsible. When I do have an issue she asks me what my my issue is and when I say it I either get yelled at or she says "I don't want to hear it!, I don't care! (if she is very mad at me) or sometimes just plain shut up" we constantly fight over stupid stuff and she complains that I don't have a job yet sits and collects social security. I hate fighting but I guess I will have to get used to it until I decide to move out.

My female cat isn't spayed and is 8-9 months old. She never yowls in heat (if she is at that age) and is very affectionate. Is this normal?

I hope they skip the fillers and go right to shippuden.

My 3 yr old female dog keeps humping my leg (she stops after I say no ) and likes to hump only giant stuffed animals but then when she is done she thrashes them all over for hours on end (she would do that all day if she could) she is not fixed but gets 4-6 30 minute walks a day (I live in an apartment and she is a small dog) she doesn't hump small stuffed animals just big ones and what are the signs of a dog in heat.

I have it along with OCD and it is hard to manage. It comes on for no reason and my last attack had me hospitalized in psychiatric for a week.

She is 4 years old and a medium sized poodle mix who I took in because he owners couldnt care for her anymore. The problem is that she is over weight and picky about what she eats and only eats people food. I have been doing the cold turkey method and am sticking to it. She gets fed 1-2 times a day and she doesn't eat much when she does eat she likes to walk away and come back to the bowl. She is over weight because her owners only gave her people food. She eats beneful for now do you think switching to a higher quality brand will help her transition to dog food and would the iams kibble sauce work (suppose to entice the pet to eat) if she leaves her food the cat eats it (not healthy)

I know milk isn't healthy for them but I only give it as a treat and not too often. Carnation milk is sanitized milk so it it's pretty much bacteria free and it doesnt give her the runs which is good. She won't drink cat milk I tried it as a treat and she snubbed it.

With my dog I try to bring him with me on trips like if we are camping or staying at a local hotel (brown and black outs happen often due to old telephone poles) but if he can come with me and my mom we would have the neighbor care for him and I leave them instructions on how to care for my cats and dog. I also leave the number of the vet and E-Vet in case. In some cases I have to make a bag for the dog if he has to be cared for away from him. He usually stayed with family members who had other dogs great for socialization skills.

Whenever me and my mom go out for the weekends we usually Have the auto feeder/water system for the cats and 2 stainless steel water bowls (one cat knocks over the water system) we also leave toys out and sometimes music. They also play together alot and if we are gone for more then 3 days we get a sitter.

I am on a budget but still want the best for my 2 cats

My mom would say very hurtful things to me when ever she yelled at me and she would get angrier if I cried. I don't understand why crying upsets parents it's certianly a better alternative then hitting them.

My mom complains about how I don't listen to her I try my best to but sometimes I just can't for whatever reason. When I don't listen she tells me stuff like "Im not going to talk to you because you don't listen" or "I'm sick and tired of you not listening" or "fine whatever I say isn't important anyway (sarcastically said)" I'm tired of hearing these things. I do my best to listen to what my mom says (I'm 20 btw) I do what I'm told and i do my best at everything. Once in anger when I wasn't listening to something she said for me to do and I did that thing wrong she said "I love you but sometimes I really ******* hate you" then she said sorry to me 15 minutes later but all sorry in the world can't make you un-hear something someone said to or about you. Sometimes I just want to tell her "if your so tired of me not listening then just don't talk to me!" :( I hate having thoughts like those.

I checked her vomit and their weren't any forign objects but whenever she did throw up their would be some pieces of kibbles. I used to feed her purina since it didn't make her throw up much especially if I gave her "purina one beyond" she is now on authority and I haven't had to clean up throw up in 3 weeks (usually I was cleaning it up every 3 days to a week)

Also what is a good food to add to make a rotation so far authority and simply nourish are the only 2 in my price range right now I'm thinking of adding Nutro as a 3rd since it too is in my price range.

My cat would also throw up wet food too especially if fed friskies or 9lives (which I will never feed again after finding fish bones in the 9lives)

I had a male cat (neutered) and he would care for kittens that we got from shelters. He would groom them and play with them and never did the leave the nest thing like females do and would play with them even in their adult years.

My 2 cats are being switched from purina to authority and I did the switch properly the thing is one of them won't eat the kibble unless it was mixed with the purina kibbles, the other cat who is usually picky quickly accepted the switch to the new food (surprisingly) but the other cat who will ANYTHING doesn't like it. The bag is good until November 2013 so I know it's not spoiled or anything. I know nothing is wrong with my cat since she just inhaled some of my rice that I left on the counter (I shooed her away and most of the time food isn't left out like that)

I'm not one of those people who panics when my cat refuses to eat a new food. I simply leave the food down all day and they get nothing else not even treats or wet food when they are being picky only the new kibble. Then at the end of the day I pick up the food and put it away until the morning then the process repeats itself. During their picky phases they would be "banned" from people food (they usually will eat both cat and people food and won't snub one over the other so that's why they are allowed to eat it) treats, and basically given the cold turkey method. With the cat food brand I went with chicken because they are familiar with that kind of meat and like it most.

I was wondering if it would be ok to fast them for a day to build up their appetite for it. They are constantly chasing eachother so they are also building an appetite that way. I also do play with them. Any more tips??? :)

Today was a bad day for both me and my mom. She woke up super depressed and that made me feel depressed. I was trying to make her happy by saying funny jokes and it worked for a bit then she got depressed again and went on her laptop. When the laptop died she told me to put both away (one is mine that I wasn't using the other is hers) I went to put her on the charger and back in the cabinet when she notices I didnt pick up the other one (this is where stuff hits the fan)

She said "man you really don't f****** listen do you?!?!?" btw I'm 20 and a girl, anyway I then said "I can't carry both so I'm going to come back for it when I'm done putting this one away" then she went over to me and snapped at me saying "PUT IT AWAY!" because I didn't put in the cabinet right away.

All of a sudden I had a brief moment of where I remembered all the times my mom would yell at me like that that I just got so fed up with it that I threw the laptop into the cabinet, my way of saying "you handle it then since I can't do ANYTHING right according to you!!" then my mom got upset and yelled at me and stormed out the door. Then I just proceeded to throw her stuff. She comes back in and says if I do it again I will be out of house and home. I started crying because of what she said then I remembered every time I had to suffer because of the mistakes she made.

I hate throwing things but a person can only take so much and I'm not someone who would just go and hit someone when I'm mad. I usually throw the nearest object and 9 out of 10 times the closest object to me belongs to the person I'm having an issue with. I'm a very easy going person who hates arguments and I never throw the objects at anyone it's usually the wall that suffers. I hate being mad :(
