how do you delete a face book account?
i can't find an option for quitting facebook. does anybody know? thanks! jim

First find the settings icon on the top right of your facebook home page. select account settings and then go to security settings. you will find the "Deactivate your account" and there you go.

Go into the privacy section of your account. There will be an option to deactivate it. Facebook doesn't have an option to delete it completely, but deactivating it will be just the same. People can't search your name, and your profile will be gone.

Go to the settings in your facebook account then go to security setting. These you will get option to deactivate your account.

You go to account settings then you go to "general" and I believe it's in the bottom. Click deactivate.
