You can work with children in either field. but they are different fields. Physical therapy works more with mobility and gross motor issues, while occupational therapy will work more with fine motor, processing disorders, and feeding issues. You need to find out more about what each type of therapy does and see which one fits you better.

Also keep in mind that being a physical therapist will require more from YOU physically. So if you are very petite, then OT may be a better fit for you. Since you want to work with kids, your size may not be as much of an issue, but if you ever had to work with adults for some reason, you need to be aware that if you are pretty small ( i am fairly small that's why i'm thinking of this), then it might be harder for you.
See if you can go observe at a PT and on OT facility. I would not go into either field without observing first and getting as much info upfront.
