dance troupe for a wedding.?
I am looking for a song/dance troupe to perform a very special show number at my granddaughter's wedding. We are on Vancouver Island, BC Canada. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I specifically want the Masquerade Ball Scene from Phantom of the Opera as the wedding is to have a Masquerade theme, and Phantom of the Opera is my granddaughter's favourite show.

I would approach a ballet school as that scene would be described as a character dance. Ask them if they have a small company that you can hire to do this or if there are any students you can work with for this project. I would contact as many as you can. I wish you the best of luck.

What kind of dance troupe? Normally, people select music and dance which has some type of meaning to the couple -- a place they like, their ethnic background, something they like doing, or something which matches the them of the wedding.
Ethnic dancing can be big. Greek, Irish, Russia, Spanish, Scottish Highland, Chinese, Polynesian, etc. There is ballet, modern interpreted, jazz, tap, swing/jive, hip-op, country/western line dancing, formal ballroom, Latin ballroom, etc. It also depends how long you want it to go on for, whether you want it in the background, how much room/dance space you have, etc.
Look online for something you like and then look for local dance groups, clubs, or studios. A lot of dance clubs will provide dancers for a donation.
We had a group of Irish dancers at our wedding, but my wife does Irish dancing. Colorful, lively, and unique. However, its usually best to pick something meaningful to the bride and groom.
