What am I doing wrong with my fish?

I have four fish tanks (small). I have two that I CAN NOT keep healthy.I've had them set up for a while. I test the water, I do 1/3 water changes and every time I do anything, my goldfish gets ich, and in another tank, my cory cat and Lyre Tail Mollie get lethargic. I don't know what's wrong!

Update:

The goldfish is alone in a 10 gallon tank. I know I'll need a bigger one later, but she's only about three inches long right now. The mollie and cory cat are the only two in a 3 gallon tank (the pet store said it would be okay, but I do plan to get a larger one). I'll try the heater in there and hope it helps. I have been treating the goldfish with ich meds for the past 3 days and now it looks like there's a fungus going on. UGH! I just want it to live! LOL! I'm going to run out for fungus meds.

Do these small tanks have a filter?

Do your mollies an corycats have a heater?

How big are these " small" tanks?

All of these fish require at least 10 gallons of water.

You need to treat your goldfish for ich ASAP. Raise the temperature of their tank and get ich medicine.

Tropical fish get lethargic if their aquarium is too cold. Make sure their water is at about 78 F

You obviously have a problem... You need to describe: temperature, tank size, number and type of fish in each tank, etc etc..

Do NOT do such large water changes! If you tank is not over stocked, then 10% a week is plenty.. Close to too many fish, then do 20% .. And be sure you don't shock them with temperature change when you add the new water!..

You should NOT keep tropical fish (Molly) with goldfish as they require different temperatures.

Without knowing which fish are with what other fish in what size tanks at what temperature, there's little else I can mention.

Source(s): 50+ years or breeding, raising and selling all species of freshwater tropical fish.
