LOL this is a very good question.

I take it you heard this from someone christian. They steal money in the name of their god and betray him in every way it is a stolen religion that steals money and funds the distruction of all other nations.

Sorry if some find this offencive.

this is how i have lived it

    Sure.

Money isn't the root of all evil. Ignorance, on the other hand, is.

"For the love of money is the root of all evil; which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." - Timothy 6:10

Tithing is mentioned throughout the Bible.

It's the love of money, not money itself, that is a root of all kinds of evil, not of all evil.

Churches can't do stuff for free. Someone, somewhere has to pay the bills.

Well, the quote is actually the love of money.

I see it even further. I believe that the love of power is the root of all evil. Money is just a tool that some people use to get power.

A more accurate translation is the "Want/love of money is the root of all evil" In this case, the phrasing is an older usage of 'want" meaning 'lacking/lack of", so the sentence in question would make more sense in today's usage as "poverty is the root of all evil"

The love of money is the root of all evil, not money itself.

Because they have it wrong. It's lack of money that's the root of all evil.

Haha! GOOD question. I think they ask for money because they have bills to pay and since churches don't make income they ask people for money to help out. Giving money to churches and other things is good so don't be stingy.

You are missing a vital point to that quote: FOR THE LOVE of money is the root of all evil....

It speaks to greed, not the legal tender itself.

Churches are commercial enterprises posing as religions in order to desist the ignorant.
