How Do I Take Care of This?
Our ex daughter-in-laws brother began making threats to us on Facebook. His friends have joined in now saying we had better watch out, they had better not see us out of our home, that they will beat our sons face to "a pulp". This has gotten so out of hand that we are genuinely frightened. These are people who some have been in trouble all the time & some maybe never have been in trouble but we don't know so we are afraid even to get in our vehicle that they might have done something to our brakes or who knows what else they might think of doing. Can people get away with threats? The police in this town are related to 1/2 of these morons doing this so we know that they are thinking they can do & get away with anything. Please help!

Print out every single threat that they have made to you on facebook and then file a criminal complaint with the District Court commissioner or the District Attorneys Office rather than with the police department you dont always need to go through the police to file a criminal complaint.
Once you have filed the complaint for the threats then file a petition for a restraining order against the people listed in the complaint.
Threats of physical harm or violence or property damage are usually charged as "Assault" and they may add "Harassment" to the assault charge. There is no better evidence to use for a conviction than threats written by the offender.
You may want to Check your state and local laws on Open carry or Concealed Carry of firearms, apply for a permit if needed,no need to be afraid to leave your home.

Ill say talk to the other half of the officers.....if you have no luck then easily shut down the Facebook account.
normally if ppl keep making threats for so long it tends to die down. If no actions has been taking place by them and its been awhile, then there just talking out there ***.
Don't let them bother y'all, ill leave it in Gods hands and pray about it. As long as you did your part God will do his.
But seriously shut down that account, if y'all have friends that y'all wanna contact and make a new one under a new name.
