Is there any reason our government can not find 2 to 3 percent fat in the federal government?

If you start cutting federal funding, how are the liberals to give out all that money they promised for you voting for them? Without increased funding, they can't give out such a large bribe to voters.

They don't want to reduce their budgets.

Trimming the budget would be really easy if the government implimented a pay and hiring freeze.

It would be even easier if they conducted regulatory reform in the process as well.

Removing some regulations will start brining in more money as people find work.

A thing to think about I've read that the Australia and New Zealand have a minimum wage that was equal to $15 us- and they have lower unemployment than the US.

The heratage foundation rates them as number 3 and 4 in terms of ecconomic freedom the US rates as number 10. So I think the Ausies and Kiwis can afford to pay people that kind of money for their first job becuse- they have a better regulatory enviroment.

So let's cut the regulations and inflationary monetary polices and turn $7.25 US into the equevalent of $20 Aus.

They can but Obama and the Dims don't want to. Spending is up 40% since Obama got into office. They could go back to 2008 levels and be fine but they're just using the sequester as an excuse to demonize republicans and scare people into believing that they can't live without big government.

Because the Democrats discovered a long time ago that you win elections by playing Santa Claus, and it costs a lot of money to be Santa Claus. The establishment Republicans are no better.
